Learn how security alerts are reviewed, enriched, prioritised, documented and escalated through a responsible SOC workflow.
Track overview
This track introduces defensive security operations using approved sample data, labs and simulated events. The emphasis is on evidence-led triage, understanding alert context, maintaining investigation notes and escalating responsibly—not on unsupervised access to customer or production security systems.
This is an expression-of-interest track. Final scope, schedule, supervision, selection and availability are confirmed only for an approved internship engagement.

Learning outcomes
Supervised practice
Activities use approved labs, sample data or specifically authorised environments. They are adapted to the learner’s current ability and the available supervision.
Triage simulated SIEM alerts and record disposition decisions
Correlate sample identity, endpoint and firewall events into a timeline
Map an approved scenario to relevant defensive techniques
Prepare an incident handoff and post-exercise learning summary
Useful foundations
You do not need to know everything already. Use these foundations to show how you have prepared and where you want guided practice.
Who this may suit
Learners interested in blue-team security and incident analysis
Students developing familiarity with logs, networks and endpoint events
Candidates who can remain precise when information is incomplete
