Infrastructure decisions shape application performance, recovery capability, operating effort and future flexibility. Atmic Systemics helps organisations translate workload needs into practical server, storage, backup, disaster-recovery and virtualisation designs—without treating any product as the answer before the requirements are understood.
Engagements can address a defined project, such as a host refresh or backup redesign, or form part of a broader modernisation programme. We document assumptions, dependencies, responsibilities and validation criteria so that technical and commercial decisions can be reviewed together.
Backup, high availability and disaster recovery solve different problems. Backup preserves recoverable copies; high availability reduces interruption from selected component failures; disaster recovery restores priority services after a serious site, platform or operational event. A resilient design may need all three, sized to business impact and budget.

How we would approach it
Identify business owners, applications, data flows, peak demand, constraints and the consequences of interruption.
Review utilisation, age, configuration, dependencies, protection coverage, management practices and support position.
Develop a right-sized architecture, migration sequence and operating model rather than focusing only on initial hardware specifications.
Deploy in controlled stages, test agreed functions and recovery procedures, document the result and complete an operational handover.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. A discovery engagement can examine workloads, utilisation, dependencies, lifecycle position, recovery needs and operational pain points before solution options are compared.
No. Clustering can improve availability for certain failures, but it may replicate corruption or deletion and normally remains exposed to wider site events. Independent backups and a recovery plan address different risks.
Migration planning can be included, subject to application compatibility, access, maintenance windows, data volume and an agreed rollback approach.
No. Project implementation, warranty services and any ongoing support arrangement are scoped separately, with responsibilities and service expectations agreed in writing.
